It's amazing to me that a womans poetry was held as sacred - in the 14th century much less preserved!
The following is my favorite:
I will weep and weep for you, O Mind; ( my Soul) The world hath caught you in its spell. Though you cling to them with the anchor of steel, Not even the shadow of the things you love Will go with you when you are dead. Why then have you forgot your own true Self ?
Her words are holy to me - as if a part of me knew they would reach out to me in this lifetime.
Lalla, silly girl (the one you posted above)... I know - I just recently discovered Lalla was female... amazing - makes her poetry even more meaningful to me.
So...a dear friend, client, and fellow yogini extraordinaire (thanks, Carolyn) suggested I devise a centralized way to post "from the road" as I embark on this healing journey. No worries - the car's in PARK, for now at least. DO make yourself at home. DO stay as long as you like. DO send me love notes! DO bookmark this page and float in and out at your leisure. I'll be here - foot in the air and doggie nursemaid at my side! All wine, cheese, and dark chocolate donations will be graciously accepted :D
